Chris Lemos is no stranger to the barber world, but he is taking his first shot at 100% ownership of his very own new and exciting brand, Butter. Chris has been a professional barber since 2011 and, in 2016, had the great experience of sharing a business partnership in the success of a local SoCal barbershop in Los Angeles County, C.A.P.S Barbershop.

As time would have it, the partners decided that the best way toward growth after 7 great years in business together would be to venture out separately in order to maximize their ideas as business owners, which led to the birth of Butter Barbershop. Although his professional career as a barber started at the age of 22, Chris first became familiar with the clippers at the age of 13 when he began to cut his own hair. While in high school, he had a few heads he was able to practice on beside his own.

During the US Recession, after graduating high school, the father of 2 baby boys was out of work complaining to his best friend, while giving him a haircut, about how unsuccessful his job search was going. While listening to Chris’ cry for help, the Owner of Affordable Renovations- Jose Bonilla, suggested, “Why don’t you just become a barber, bro?” Never a figment of imagination in Chris’ head before that day, a lightbulb lit up, and Chris and his family’s life was changed forever. Today Chris is ready to build his new brand, Butter, and his 2 sons are now old enough to pick up the clippers and join Dad in the shop. Chris is very excited to see his new vision come to life by delivering the best customer service and barbering skills, which he continues to perfect with every new client and experience, to our local community, and beyond!
